What was the highlight of The Londoner Hotel St. Julian's
It was a pretty nice experience
I liked the room, though a little small, it was modern, comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were kind and very responsive, the breakfast was good. Not a large spread but it covered all the basics and some.
I didn't like that the pool was in a separate building, but it was still very close and very nice.

Hotel is great, let down a bit by what is around it
Hotel is nice and clean, staff are great and modern interior is really good - love the pool area, rooms are spacious and comfortable
Wasn't aware swimming pool was in a separate building (didn't make any difference at all as literally 30 second walk) - only standard sunloungers included, other loungers come with a fee (discounted) Hotel is in the liveliest part of St Julians and is quiet loud at night. Also a lot of construction going on around the hotel which does ruin the aesthetic a bit but very nice only round the corner

Very Good
Breakfast was good - a pleasant start to each day. Really liked the shower. We were pleased that the room was well sound-proofed as we had not realised we had booked in to the busiest and noisiest part of Malta. The staff were always pleasant and helpful.
We were disappointed by the swimming pool. It was too shallow for a good swim and the background music was irritating. It seemed to be a sunbather's venue rather than a swimmer's.

Fabulous hotel in a perfect location!
The Londoner surpassed all my expectations - it was outstanding. Staff are so welcoming and kind, genuinely friendly and helpful, the room was much bigger than expected, spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were so comfy. Plenty wardrobe space, fridge and kettle, hairdryer, all that I thought was missing was an iron but that was brought up upon request which was perfect. There's no pool on-site but we had access to a rooftop pool 1 minute away, with a bar serving food...usually expensive (€25 per sunbed) but free for guests, and it was fabulous! The location is excellent, it is a busy street with one-way traffic and narrow footpaths but lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars around, we were glad to have stayed there so we had the nightlife of St. Julians within 1 minute walking distance (no noise heard within the hotel though), and the beach, harbour and quieter areas 5 to 10 mins walk away. Buses to Valetta etc were less than 5 mins walk away. Overall the hotel is about 10 mins from Valetta and 20 mins from St. Paul's Bay, but we were more than happy to stay in St. Julians. Already planning to go back to stay in the Londoner next year!
We first had a room without a balcony (which we'd booked and were delighted with) but found it a little dark. We stayed an extra unplanned 2 days and moved to a room with a balcony, which was a smaller room but brighter and airy. The first room was still beautiful though, just an observation. One suggestion would be to have hooks or extra shelf space in the bathroom, even hooks on the back of the bathroom door would let toiletries bags be hung up. Again, not a big deal at all. The only 1 negative was the building work going on outside the hotel...this isn't the hotel's fault and wouldn't stop me going back there at all!
